Auchmore is a stone courtyard dating from the 18th century, set in its own grounds on the south side of Loch Tay. The apartments were converted from the original farm buildings, and they look out over the loch towards Ben Lawers and the Tarmachan range.
It is a working, lived-in place rather than a resort: birds in the woods behind the buildings, deer that wander through at dusk, and long views that change hour by hour. Killin, with its shops, cafés and the Falls of Dochart, is a short walk or a two-minute drive away.
Local tradition holds that Queen Victoria came ashore at Achmore during her 1842 Highland tour, rowing up the loch from Taymouth — a nice thought as you sit on the balcony with a cup of tea.
All three are self-catering, centrally heated, and share the same setting, parking and views. The difference is size and layout.

Walking, Munros, cycling, watersports and fishing all start within a few miles. Killin itself has the Falls of Dochart, a Co-op, cafés and pubs, and the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park surrounds the whole village.
Ben Lawers (1,214m) is the highest point in Perthshire and a National Trust for Scotland nature reserve. The Tarmachan Ridge (1,044m) is one of the finest short ridge walks in the southern Highlands. Gentler circuits start in the Auchmore woods.
Loch Tay runs roughly 14.5 miles from Killin to Kenmore and reaches over 150m deep in places. Canoes, kayaks and bikes can be hired in the village, and the loch is popular for fishing.
National Cycle Network Route 7 — the Lochs & Glens route — passes through Killin, including the old railway line and the Glen Ogle viaduct just to the south.
Would you rather someone else did the organising? Choose a three or five day tour and pick the days you want: fishing on Loch Tay with your catch cooked for you that evening, a guided Munro, stalking with a local estate, boat trips, a campfire evening, a courtyard BBQ or a private chef in your own kitchen.
